Honey Bees
Honey bees are hairy-bodied insects including social and solitary species. They live in colonies and are often used as "domestic animals" because of the precious substances they produce. Their stinging can be both dangerous and healing. The poison can induce suffocating when injected near the throat or cause allergic reactions in predisposed people. These insects gather pollen from flower and tree blossoms to produce the sweet substance and wax which they use for food and building their hives. Bee products are used by humans both as food and natural remedy.
