Green Tree Frog

It was hiding in the water of the lake when it caught my sight. Green tree frogs usually can be found near small still water sources. There are numerous famous tales and legends about the frog that was kissed by a beautiful princess and became a handsome young guy and their love lasted forever. Maybe this transformation is connected directly to the interesting life cycle of the green tree frog. A total metamorphosis through the egg, tadpole and finally itself. Who knows :) A strange fact is that a lot of people dislike or even get scared by the view of these animals but still keep telling the fairytale stories to their children. This shows one more time that we get naturally attracted to what they run away from. Another curious thing is the croaking during the breeding season. It is typical for a lot of animals to make great noise in that times but for frogs there is at least one article explaining how people changed their living place just because they could not stand that awful sound.
